The Lemonade Detox Diet is also known as the Master Cleanser Diet. It was originally created and published by Mr. Stanley Burrough through his book in 1976. A more recent popular book has been written by Peter Glickman about the Lemonade Detox Diet. He wrote and published Lose Weight, Have More Energy & Be Happier in 10 Days in 2004 and its second edition in 2005. He also released The Lemonade Detox Diet: a Master Cleanse Audio CD in 2005.

This Lemonade Detox Diet became even more popular when Beyonce Knowles, R&B diva announced to Oprah that she did the lemonade detox diet. Beyonce did the master cleanse diet when she was preparing for the movie “Dream Girls”. Some people then named the master cleanse diet as Beyonce diet and the Beyonce maple syrup diet.

Also, called “cleansing” diets, lemonade detox diets are touted as one of the healthiest things you can do for your body. Proponents further say that “cleansing” provides a multitude of benefits, including faster weight loss, more energy, a better complexion, better circulation, better digestion, and improved concentration.

It doesn’t take an expert in anatomy to easily understand that the colon holds the wastes from your body. Lemonade Detox Diets are designed to flush out the fecal matter that attaches itself to the walls of the colon. This matter, which is reported to sometimes be decades old, releases toxins into you system.

While there are many other cleansing and detox diet plans available such as The Raw Food Diet, The Diuretic Diet, The Green Tea Diet, The Liquid Diet, and The Juice Diet, one of the most popular ones seems to be The Master Cleansing Diet, which is also known as The Lemonade Detox Diet.

Lemonade Detox Diet Recipe

  • 30mls/2tbsp Lemon juice
  • 30mls/2tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 2 pinches Cayenne pepper
  • 360ml/12oz purified or spring water (NOT fluoridated water)

 

This lemonade detox diet recipe is for a single serving, and you should drink 6-12 servings a day. You can make a bigger batch by multiplying the recipe. Just make sure you keep it refrigerated, and don’t make more than one days supply.

Drink this Lemonade Detox Recipe several times a day, whenever you’re thirsty or hungry. You can also drink water alone, but nothing else. You should add a multivitamin for obvious reasons. Because you’re getting no fibre, you should also take a herbal laxative tea morning and evening.

Breaking a fast must be done gently. Slowly reintroduce solid food. Understand that the water weight you lost will return, at least in part, once you start eating solid foods. Remember, fast weight loss is not the same as fat loss.

Understand also that the Lemonade Detox Diet diet is not easy to follow. If you’re overweight, you’re probably very fond of food and the process of eating. The first 2-3 days will be the hardest. After that, your body will adjust.
